WHY: The Technology Management Program is dedicated to the development of business and innovation in an increasingly technology-based global economy. UC Santa Barbara and the Central Coast of California are remarkably fertile grounds for innovation and new venture creation. Through programs like the New Venture Competition, we are bringing leaders of the tech-industry together to collaborate with the University and help create economic growth for our community.

DETAILS: The New Venture Fair is free and open to the public. It is attended by executives, entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and other members of the community who all have a common interest in business and innovation. Visitors of the Fair are invited to walk the competition floor and enjoy a networking reception on the patio. Community judges will be asked to evaluate the teams and help determine which teams will advance to the May 24th New Venture Competition Finals, where they will compete for cash prizes.
