Senior Software Executive, Advisor and Strategist
Monte Wilson has a long successful career in senior roles at some of the top names in the software industry such as Adobe, Oracle and EMC. His focus has always been on how to develop strategies to disrupt the marketplace and set the standards versus meet them.
Most recently, he led Adobe's Digital Media Operations for North and South America and positioned Adobe to capitalize on long-term growth opportunities and strategically align the company's product, sales and support organizations with key customer segments. He played an integral role in Adobe’s transition from a boxed software company to a software as a service (SaaS) vendor that that included not only innovative Go-To-Market strategies but new and disruptive licensing models. Last year, he was named Man of the Year by the New York Advertising Club for his work in digital media.
Prior to Adobe, he was responsible for the government operations at Documentum which was later acquired by EMC where he remained for an additional three years. Over that span he was involved in the acquisition and integration of over 20 companies that helped fuel EMC’s transition to include software.
Today, Monte is focusing on his book about the rapidly evolving technology marketplace and serves on the Advisory Board for multiple companies. In addition to his professional life, he served six years as the Vice Chairman of the Information Management Commission for the State of Colorado after being appointed by Governor Bill Owens in 1999.
