This quarterly series features leaders from academia and industry who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields. Featuring appearances by prominent academic researchers, business professionals, and successful entrepreneurs. This series gives UC Santa Barbara students an opportunity to learn directly from individuals who have excelled through innovation and dedication to their work. Innovator Stories is part of the TMP 111 Issues in Technology, Business, and Society course curriculum.

Diane Flynn is Co-founder and CEO of ReBoot Accel, designing work cultures that support and advance women. ReBoot Accel has assisted over 2500 women interested in resuming careers after time out of the workforce. Diane also consults with Fortune 500 companies interested in hiring, retaining, and promoting women. She facilitates workshops on professional presence and impact, and coaches leaders on maximizing results and personal fulfillment. 2018 Daytime Emmy Winner for best original song and 2015 Daytime Emmy Nominee, Eve Nelson brings heart and soul to every project. She's a music incubator. Like an actor taking on a role, she jumps in and embraces the personality of the project- body, mind and spirit. Eve’s musical presence and versatility can be heard throughout her body of work. One music creative confessed that Eve is her “secret weapon.”

Jenny earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Chemistry and her PhD in Chemistry from Queen’s University (Kingston, ON, Canada) where, during her graduate studies, she was awarded an Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada in recognition of her research work.
