The Technology Management Program (TMP) operates a number of co-curricular activities outside of its team-oriented and project based curriculum.
The activities include the program's flagship event, UC Santa Barbara's New Venture Competition, seminars, workshops, networking events, and career fairs that focus on encouraging personal and professional development, technical innovation, and entrepreneurship.
These activites are strategically designed to enhance the students academic experience, and focus on preparing them for successful careers as business leaders and entrepreneurs. TMP helps students find employment opportunities through its deep network of alumni, practicing professionals, retired executives, and experienced entrepreneurs. TMP’s affiliated businesses and sponsors gain access to a strong pool of talented graduates who have combined technical and business expertise. TMP graduates stimulate economic growth through technology commercialization and new venture creation.
The Executive-at-the-Table (E.A.T) meetings provide a unique opportunity for TMP students to enjoy a casual conversation with an engaging and influential entrepreneur or executive. Within this intimate setting our mentors share business advice and anecdotes from their own experience.
The New Venture Competition is an opportunity for any UCSB student to learn how to start a business. Read more about our 2016 winners!
