Students

The UCSB New Venture Competition is open to graduate and undergrad students currently enrolled at UCSB. Entries run through Fall Quarter to allow for the yearlong preparation time.

Mentors

TMP has an extensive network of advisors and mentors to draw on for helping entrepreneurial students and researchers on campus, especially in areas of technical relevance to UCSB research. In addition to the EATs program, individual and small-group mentoring can be arranged. TMP advisors include local attorneys, investors, successful entrepreneurs, and numerous retired executives from companies both large and small.

Community

The UCSB New Venture Competition thrives from the participation from our community. We welcome community members to attend the Spring New Venture Fair and NVC Finals. For more events, visit our timeline.

The New Venture Fair is a part of the New Venture Competition, in which student teams compete to develop innovative start-up business plans. The Fair is a dynamic and exciting evening where the community gets its first look at exceptional student entrepreneurs.
