Cost of Attendance

We're Here to Help You

Pursuing a professional degree requires a significant investment of time and money. At the Master of Technology Management (MTM) at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), we are dedicated to helping you find the financial support you need. Fortunately, we are also in a position to provide more generous merit-based financial support than most other professional programs. In addition, we would be more than happy to connect you with UCSB financial aid advisers to help you craft a plan that works for you. Should you have any concerns or questions about your financial situation, please feel free to reach out to us by e-mail.

Please use the UCSB Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships "cost budget" calculator to estimate your cost of attendance for the 2017-18 academic year. Please note that the total for campus-based fees, university tuition, and health care allowance will be different in the cost budget calculator from the one shown below. The reason is that the UCSB Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships uses the average costs for non-professional graduate programs. MTM, however, is a professional program and thus more expensive to operate. When using the cost budget calculator, please replace the campus-based fees, university tuition, and health care allowance with the one below to get a more accurate representation of your estimated cost of attendance.

How Do We Compare Versus Other Professional Programs?

But how does MTM compare with other professional programs such as the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) that promise to train you in business skills? As the chart below illustrates, MTM is clearly the winner in terms of return on investment and temporal and financial costs.
