Karen Bogart

President, Smith Bogart Consulting

Dr. Karen A. Smith Bogart is President of Smith Bogart Consulting, Inc., a business advisory firm based in Santa Barbara. She has worked directly in two start-up firms. Formerly, she was a Senior Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company and managed many of their largest global businesses in consumer, professional, and health markets. She also was the Chairman and President of Greater Asia responsible for Kodak’s businesses and operations across Asia.

She serves on the boards of Mohawk Industries (MHK), a NYSE listed floor covering firm and Michelman, Inc., a private specialty chemicals company.  She formerly was a director for Monolithic Power Systems (MPWR), a NASDAQ listed semiconductor firm; Silver Maple Ventures - FrontFundr, a Canadian fintech company; ZBE, a private digital printing systems firm; and five firms in China, India, and Thailand.

She holds a PhD and Masters of Arts in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Rochester, a Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a BA, Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
