New Venture Incubator and Startups

The Wilcox New Venture Incubator (also known as "The Garage"), is located on the ground floor of UCSB’s Mosher Alumni House, and is the result of a collaboration between Technology Management and UC Santa Barbara Alumni Affairs. It was funded in part by Assembly Bill 2664, University of California: Innovation and Entrepreneurial Expansion. The Garage will provide incubation for UCSB start-ups for up to one year and be the home of the G2 Summer Launchpad program. 

The G2 Summer Launchpad program offers select students the opportunity to further develop their new business ventures while working alongside mentors, IP and legal experts, and faculty. This eight-week program is intensely focused on product commercialization and business launch:

  • Go to market strategies & tactics
  • Operations and metrics 
  • Selling & marketing fundamentals
  • Legal formation / IP strategy
  • Financial systems / raising capital

Applications will be accepted beginning May 1.
