NVC Alumni win $5,000 in Fish 2.0 Business Competition

Like-minded Norah Eddy and Laura Johnson, both avid lovers of fish and oceans, met a few years ago while studying environmental science on the Galapagos Islands. That’s when they decided to launch a social enterprise selling sustainably sourced and traceable fish.

Not long after that, they also engaged in a pretty significant pivot.

Called Salty Girl Seafood, the four-employee Santa Barbara, CA +0.00%., startup just won $5,000 in the Fish 2.0 business competition.
