Technology Management is pleased to announce that UC alumni are now able to apply for the Master of Technology Management (MTM) graduate degree program for free!
Applicants who have received a degree from any University of California campus or who will complete their degree by Fall 2026 are eligible to apply for an application sponsorship–a $135 value for U.S. citizens and permanent residents and a $155 value for international applicants.

APPLICATION SPONSORSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility: Applicants who have been awarded an undergraduate or graduate degree from a University of California campus, or who will have their degree awarded before the start of the MTM program in Fall 2026.
Not eligible: Applicants who have taken UC courses or courses in the UC Extension programs.
Fee Sponsorship Application Deadline: Two weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the application deadline.
- Applicants applying for the 12/1 deadline must submit their fee waiver application by 11/17 (11:59 pm).
- Applicants applying for the 2/15 deadline must submit their fee waiver application by 2/1 (11:59 pm).
The fee sponsorship cannot be applied retroactively; applicants are required to request the fee sponsorship before they pay for their application. Once your fee sponsorship is approved, select the Check/Money Order payment option when you are ready to submit your completed MTM eApp. Do not pay by credit card or submit check/money order paperwork; your application will be marked paid once you officially submit it. We are not able to reimburse any self-payments.
Do not apply simultaneously for the Technology Management UC Alumni Fee Sponsorship and the Graduate Division Fee Waiver within the online admissions application. If you think you may be eligible for both, apply for the UC Alumni Fee Sponsorship first.
