Cassandra Ruark

Cassandra is a senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing a major in Sociology and a certificate in Technology Management. Before her time in Santa Barbara, she transferred from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she worked in the Sociology Department’s Everett Program, focusing on project management and mission-driven initiatives.

To continue that drive in Santa Barbara, she helped grow a marketing and public relations company, WaveComm Santa Barbara, and strengthened and oversaw the development of eight other companies in publication, public relations, and the local nonprofit field. After college, she plans to commit to full-time LSAT studying, with the goal of joining a business and technology law firm in the Bay Area.

As she finishes her time at UCSB, Cassandra has dedicated her time and effort to creating a thriving undergraduate community within the Technology Management Department. She is passionate about supporting students as they navigate the Technology Management certificate and providing general guidance and mentorship.

Aside from her academic and professional ambitions, Cassandra enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring more of what Santa Barbara has to offer. You can find her every week getting pho with friends at Noodle City.
